2009 Board of Directors Christopher Markham (President) is the founder of Impressions Theatre, a company that performs educational theatre for children at schools and libraries. Christopher grew up with ShenanArts and Waynesboro Players, and after receiving a bachelor’s from VA Tech he survived an internship with Wayside Theatre in Middletown before moving to Chicago in pursuit of an acting career. He recently returned to the Valley and looks forward to sharing his many talents and expertise with anyone interested in listening. Claire Hensley (Vice President) has a BA in theater from Mary Washington College and has been working in theaters since the age of nine. Most recently, she appeared in a production of My Name is Rachel Corrie. She has worked with Oak Grove, Waynesboro Players, Live Arts, Ampersand Arts, ShenanArts, Golden Duck Productions, Bridgewater College, Mary Baldwin College, and Mary Washington College. In her spare time she works for the Augusta County Library. Morgan Alberts Smith (Treasurer/Secretary) has been involved in theatre for more years that she can count. She holds a BA in theatre from Mary Baldwin College and has been with Imagine That! Theatre since 2004, serving -- until recently -- as president for most of those years. Morgan has worked with many of the local theatre groups (from acting to directing to producing to costuming to building sets) including LiveArts, ShenanArts, Ampersand Arts, MBC Theatre, Waynesboro Players, and the Oak Grove. Recent activities include directing Jake's Women at the Oak Grove and being the sole costumer for Waynesboro Players' Peter Pan. In her spare time she is web producer at MBC and a wife and mother -- Just like all you wives and mothers out there. Leigh Ellis graduated from Bridgewater College with a Bachelor's degree in English and Education. She currently teaches 5th grade at Clymore Elementary School, focusing primarily on writing. Leigh is also a teacher for Augusta County's unique "Summer Arts" program, which has offered educational opportunities in music, art, writing, movement, and drama to identified gifted and high ability children in the area for over 20 years. She enjoys directing school plays and musicals at Clymore, as well as acting in a few herself (in her spare time). She has worked with Oak Grove theater, Waynesboro Players, Live Arts, the Harrisonburg Playhouse, and Ampersand Arts. She is thrilled to be on the board of Imagine That! and can't wait to help teach and inspire young drama enthusiasts like herself!
